I Resolve - To Share Jesus in 2026

Jan 11, 2026    Pastor Ron Simmons

This message challenges us with a powerful truth: we have been given the mandate and the ability to share Jesus with those who are trapped and stuck in their circumstances. Using the compelling image of a deer caught in a fence—destined to be devoured by coyotes if left alone—we're reminded that sharing Christ isn't just about winning theological debates or imposing religion. It's about compassion, humility, and recognizing that we might be someone's last chance to encounter the freedom found in Jesus. The story of the woman caught in adultery from John 8 becomes our template: Jesus stooped down in humility before her accusers, wrote with the same finger that inscribed the law on Mount Sinai, and set her free with words of grace rather than condemnation. We don't save anyone—only Jesus does that—but we carry the power to lead someone to the One who transforms lives and changes generations. The most powerful tool we possess isn't theological expertise but our personal testimony. When we simply share what Jesus has done in our own lives, we create bridges to hearts that need hope. This year, we're called to resolve to share Jesus, to have divine encounters with those stuck in their fences, and to speak life through our tongues that contain the power of both death and life.
